Ariel Helwani broke the news Friday confirmed on Monday that UFC title challenger Val??rie L??tourneau has signed with Bellator MMA. L??tourneau (8-6) heads into her promotional debut off three straight losses, enduring setbacks to Joanna J??drzejczyk, Joanne Calderwood and most lately Viviane Pereira last December in UFC 206. From the UFC, the American Top Team product was released After her current skid before this season.
The 33-year-old L??tourneau has had trouble in the past producing the strawweight limitation in the UFC and will fit in well into Bellator’s 125-pound flyweight division. She tried out for Season 18 of The Ultimate Fighter but was eliminated after dropping to Roxanne Modafferi by first-round entry.
Where she took home a success over Elizabeth Phillips in June 2014 l??tourneau was given a second opportunity on notice at UFC 174. She followed that up with wins over Jessica Rakoczy and Maryna Moroz that earned her a title shot against J??drzejczyk at UFC 193. UFC middleweight Tom Breese announces torn ACL, UFC return unidentified UFC middleweight Tom Breese declared on his Instagram Monday he’s torn his ACL, and there is no timetable for his return. Breese (10-1) was pulled in the last minute out of a scheduled bout with Oluwale Bamgbose at UFC Fight Night 107 back in March because of an irregularity with his heart rate. The 25-year-old suffered his career’s blow off enduring a split-decision loss.
